BetaMax was better, so I've heard.
However, we all ended up with VHS.
I think Jaiku is a better technology, however, Twitter seems to have generated more traction in terms of usage.
That's from my experience viewpoiint only, though.
Twitter posts also appear higher in Google seaches than Jaiku ones.
Google could easily change that.
